Cadenza at All Saints’ Hartford

On Saturday, the 28th of November at 19:30, the church had a sizeable audience, eagerly anticipating entertainment from the Cadenza singers and the Ely Waits. They were not disappointed as the Cadenza thrilled us all with the delivery of a programme of unaccompanied choral works from the 16th century onwards. In the intervals between the performances by Cadenza, we were entertained by the Ely Waits, both by the leader who introduced the pieces with great humour, and the performers who played a number of pieces from the Renaissance period on a mixture of ancient and modern instruments.

The evening ended with a presentation to Jude Short who is leaving the group after 20 years, as the travelling has become too onerous.
