Before the service begins the choir sings some songs - please feel free to join in
Introduction and welcome
The world belongs to the Lord
the earth and all its people
How good and how lovely it is
to live together in unity
Love and faith join hands
justice and peace come together
If the Lord's disciples keep silent
the very stones would cry aloud
From the lips of children and infants
you have ordained praise
The children are invited to sit on cushions at the front of church for a short story and a song
Confession
We sit or kneel as bring our need for forgiveness to God in prayer
God our Father,
We have sinned against you
and against each other.
We are not worthy to be called your children.
We turn to you again.
Have mercy on us.
Bring us back to yourself
and forgive us.
For we ask this in Jesus' name. Amen
God's forgiveness is declared
May almighty God have
mercy upon us,
forgive us our sins
and keep us in everlasting life,
through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen

Family Talk
Affirmation of faith
Let us declare our faith in God:
We believe in God the Father,
from whom every family
in heaven and on earth is named.
We believe in God the Son,
who lives in our hearts through
faith, and fills us with his love.
We believe in God the Holy Spirit,
who strengthens us with
power from on high.
We believe in one God;
Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen
There may be prayers of Thanksgiving for the birth of a child
We all stand and exchange the Peace
The peace of the Lord be always with
you.............. and also with you.
We offer one another a sign of peace.
Hymn (our gift offering to God will be received)
Prayers & intercessions
Collect (today's special prayer)
We pray for the needs of the Church and the world and for one another:
Our response may be.................
Lord in your mercy.....hear our prayer
at the end of the prayers we may say
Merciful Father, accept these
prayers for the sake of your Son,
our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
Let us continue as we join together in
the prayer that Jesus taught us
Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who
sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours now
and for ever. Amen.
The children. are invited to bring their crafts and creative work to the front and show them to the congregation
A prayer of Blessing
Song/Hymn
We turn to face the minister and choir
at the back of the church and say with
them:
This is the day that the Lord has made
we will rejoice and be glad in it
We will not offer to God
service which costs us nothing
Let us go in peace to love
and serve the Lord
in the name of Christ. Amen.
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ,
And the love of God, and the
Fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with
us all evermore. Amen.
