How to Register as a Site member

Site Membership

If you wish to contribute to the forum, you will need to register as a Site member.

This topic explains the site registration process and how to register as a member.

1: Click on the Log in/Join tab, at the top right of any screen. The Registration form will be displayed.

2: Locate the Click here to sign up button and click on it using the left mouse button.

3: Enter a Username in the space provided. This can be anything you choose, that you can remember. DO NOT use your full email address.

4: Enter a secure Password. A good password contains a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and special characters (e.g. £,!,@).

5: Re-enter the same password in the Confirm Password box. This helps to ensure that you have entered the password correctly as it will not be visible.

6: Enter your Email address. This is so that we can send an email to you confirming that your membership has been activated.

7: Periodically we may choose to send emails to you regarding forthcoming events or other content. If you would prefer not to receive emails from us, please deselect the tick next to Would you like to receive emails from our site, by clicking in the tick box.

8: If you would like to log on automatically when you visit this site, select the Remember me tick box. This will store a small file on your computer called a cookie, which contains your login details. Note that the settings in some browsers clear all cookies when you close the browser, so this facility may not work.

9: Click on the Next button.

10: A screen will be displayed, requesting that you fill in your name and address. These details will be used to help us determine who to accept as a member. These details will not under any circumstances be visible to forum users, nor will they be used for any other purpose.

11: Click on the Sign up button.

12: A screen will be displayed stating that Your membership is pending.

What happens next.

An email will be sent to you, containing a clickable link requesting that you click on the link to verify your email address.

Open your email client and click on the link provided to confirm that your email address is valid.

An email will be sent to the site administrator, requesting that they process the membership request.

The administrator will review the information provided and either accept or reject the membership request. A confirmation email will be sent to you to confirm the status of your membership request.
