God of my dreams

God of my dreams I come to you, seeking fulfilment. Despair is balanced by hope in your word. I trust your love for the wounded: your love for me, renewed daily. Bring me, as I am –all that I am – into the safety of your care. My secrets you know, but I am accepted, because your love is unconditional. My life-journey is a dark path, but you place people in my life, who are lights to guide me. Keep my heart from bitterness and resentment. May I be quick to forgive, as I have been forgiven. God of my dreams, make my dreams become real, in your light. That I may again rejoice, and reach my full stature - the stature of being fully human, that you have ordained for me.
