Our church is not just a place of worship; it's a community that thrives on the collective efforts of its members. So we can keep our sacred space welcoming and well-maintained, we need your support and dedication. We are looking for individuals with useful skills who can assist with regular help and support. Perhaps you have ideas, creativity, and enthusiasm to help organize events, campaigns, and initiatives that will financially support our church. You can help by donating your time, sharing your skills, or sharing this call for volunteers with friends, family, and fellow church members who may be interested in contributing to the well-being of our church. Things you could volunteer for. Musical activities. Join the choir; organising concerts; playing the organ; ringing the church bells. Social activities. Serving tea and Coffee after services; Catering for events, running bible study groups. Worship support. Reading lessons during services; creating and delivering intercessional prayers (training will be provided); acting as a Sides person or Welcomer; running ALM/LLM courses. Administration Joining and participating in the PCC; being a Church Warden; secretarial tasks; managing the Electoral Roll; collating and editing the Church Newsletter; ordering supplies; photocopying. IT support Maintaining the Website; filming and recording the service, providing data protection advice. Practical activities. Carrying out repairs and odd jobs, cleaning the church, maintaining the Churchyard, cleaning church linen; brass cleaning, window cleaning. Decoration activities Routine and special event Flower arranging; Christmas decoration; Other decorating activities. Financial activities Performing the role of Treasurer, managing the Parish Giving Scheme, carrying out financial audit; organising and managing Fund Raising Events; managing Hartford Connects communications. Other activities Managing the regulations and processes for Health and Safety; Fire Safety; Safeguarding; Food Handling; GDPR. And finally.
