The Covid pandemic has accelerated several changes that were beginning to happen in the way in which people give to the church (not just at Hartford but in all dioceses). The options which are now available at All Saints Church Hartford include:•Goodbox – card reader either for contactless or Chip & Pin donations (we now have a Wi-Fi facility in church) – the card reader is in the collection plate by the door.•Donation button on the website - http://www.allsaintshartford.org.uk•Parish Giving Scheme – which is now the main source of regular giving at Hartford.•Online giving – either by single payments or by a regular standing order - Details below. •Cheque – by post (address see below) or placed in the collection plate.The Church of England are encouraging people to use alternatives to cash during the pandemic due to risks involved in handling cash and to reduce the visits needed for banking.The Organ renovation is being financed separately including £11,500 from the Church Enhancement Fund. We have received gifts in the last few weeks of nearly £4,000 although the Organ Appeal is only being launched in early October! This means that we already have £15,500 towards the agreed cost of £25,475. We greatly appreciate these gifts and the encouragement they provide.Online GivingThe Church of England is encouraging Online Giving as a safe way of Giving during the Covid pandemic. This can be by online through the Parish Giving Scheme or by donations.PGS - New donors can sign up by telephonePGS dedicated telephone line: 0333 002 1271The service operates weekdays between 9 - 5pm. One of the PGS administrators will take you through the sign-up process – this normally takes around 15 minutes. You will need to have the following information to hand:• Your Personal Bank Account details (Account holder’s name; Sort Code; Account Number)• The name of the parish you wish to donate to – All Saints Hartford• The PGS code for All Saints Hartford is: 140614159• You will need to confirm if you want to increase your gift in line with inflation each year • Confirm if you are eligible for Gift Aid What happens next? ….
